About Peter

Peter is an Australian-trained pharmacist with a Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours from Monash University in Melbourne and more than 15 years of experience in community pharmacy across Australia.

He grew up in New Zealand before moving to Australia to study pharmacy. After graduating from Monash University, supported by a four-year Scholarship for Excellence, Peter began his pharmacy career in regional Victoria, progressing from pharmacy intern to registered pharmacist.

Peter later moved to the Northern Territory, where he gained experience across rural pharmacy, Aboriginal health services, pharmacy management, and pharmacy group operations.

His work involved supporting multidisciplinary care for Aboriginal health communities, working alongside doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to help deliver practical, patient-centred health services. This experience gave him a strong appreciation for multidisciplinary healthcare. He saw how effective care often depends on doctors, pharmacists, and nurses working together, with each profession contributing its own expertise to patient assessment, treatment, education, medicines use, and ongoing support.

During the COVID period, Peter’s role moved further into pharmacy management and group operations. In these roles, he developed strong skills in improving pharmacy workflows through better processes, clearer documentation, and practical service design.

This experience helped shape his interest in digital health and telehealth. Peter saw how well-designed digital systems could improve pharmacy operations while also supporting better patient access, clinical documentation, and more consistent care.

This combination of experience and interest in digital health led Peter to return to Melbourne and establish OnCare Health, with the goal of building safer and more accessible online healthcare systems for everyday health needs.
OnCare Health began with real-time telehealth consultations for sick leave certificates and carer’s leave certificates. Its certificate assessment processes have been reviewed by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), supporting the service’s structured and accountable approach to online healthcare.

OnCare Health later expanded by onboarding Australian doctors, allowing the service to provide a broader medical certificate service through both pharmacist-led assessments and doctor-led medical consultations. This supports patients whose needs fall outside pharmacist scope of practice and require medical practitioner review.

OnCare Health’s internal referral pathways allow patients to be referred between healthcare professionals where clinically appropriate. Doctors at OnCare Health provide telehealth consultations, medical certificates, prescription services, referrals, and pathology and imaging requests where clinically appropriate.

Peter’s long-term goal is to evolve OnCare Health into a more comprehensive multidisciplinary healthcare provider that supports multi-level care across doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
